To all of our customers and fans,
All I can say is Wowza! What an incredible weekend! With the date change, weak economy and clearly a list of superior collector cars, we were quite nervous. After Friday's slow start and a crowd averaging around 500 people, we were starting to think we were headed for rough waters.
Saturday the complexion of the entire weekend changed. The electricity in the air filled all in attendance with an adrenalin rush. It started with the introductions and was sustained until the mallet dropped on the last car sold. We maintained an audience of about 2000 people throughout Saturday's auction making it by far the largest show we have produced.
Due to the excellence of the cars consigned and the buyers' willingness to invest in quality, we were able to sell one out of every two cars presented resulting in an overall sales percentage hovering around 50% and a sales total of a little over $2 million.
Needless to say we were quite impressed and it reaffirmed our belief the Collector Car market is still alive and strong. More and more people want to see, touch and enjoy their investments.
Again a special shout out to Corey Glass and Collins Trimble of Charlotte Motor Speedway for all of their behind the scenes help in creating this enormous event.
As always thanks to a great bunch of consignors who outdid themselves and to the buyers for stepping up in hard times and recognizing the value of their investments.
On a personal note with pride and gratitude I applaud my auction crew for putting together a seamless event. I know how hard they worked to do so.
My deepest thanks and appreciation to all,
